It's been a very busy month for the Honor Board as we welcomed the new freshmen onto campus and welcomed back the upperclassmen!
First, during Freshmen Orientation, we had one of our most successful Honor System presentations yet. The Honor System Orientation video may be watched at this link: http://vimeo.com/27856468. Thank you to all our Honor Board members, Orientation Leaders, and administrative advisors who contributed to make that a success!
The second week of school was the Week of Honor. On Tuesday, September 6th, we held an Honor Board and SGA meet and greet where students could come meet their student government representatives. President Farvardin came, and all the students really enjoyed having the chance to meet and speak with him. On September 7th, we hosted a dinner where Honor Board and Off Center members demonstrated a mock Honor System investigation and hearing. Finally, on September 8th, we hosted a Stevens Trivia Night and everyone learned something new about our school!
September 7th was also an important day for us, because that was when the new Freshmen class officially became Stevens students and were inducted into the Honor System. We welcome the new freshmen and know that they will be strong supporters of the Honor System and preserve the system for years to come!
Yesterday was the campus wide club fair. Many students stopped by the Honor Board table and learned about getting involved with the Honor System. We handed out rolls of toilet paper to remind students to "Wipe out Cheating," "Flush away Academic Dishonesty," and "Roll out Integrity!"
Finally, we are now accepting applications for new members! We have open spots for all classes, and the applications are due Monday, September 19th. The forms may be found on our website. General elections will be held 9/26 through 10/2 and we are all very excited to bring on our new members!
Thanks again to everyone who helped us kick off the fall semester and we hope to see you again at future Honor Board events!
